RFQ checklist for ship chandler quotations
A concise checklist so purchasing teams receive faster, more accurate ship supply quotations.
Minimum details for a usable RFQ
- Vessel name and IMO number
- ETA, port and expected berth
- Complete requisition list (Excel, PDF or Word)
- Contact person and preferred reply email
- Delivery urgency and any cut-off times
Technical lines need maker data
For deck, engine and safety items, include IMPA references, dimensions, SWL, maker and model where possible. Incomplete specs slow sourcing and increase alternative proposals.
After you receive the quote
